9000 Exhaust
Hey, on my 1994 9000 Aero Turbo i have a loud noise coming from the exhaust like
theres a hole in it. But it's not the muffler, it is this mesh thing in about mid-distance between the axels.
Here are some pictures or if sort of peeling at the top.
I'm just wondering what it is called.
It is only a 2 or 3 feet piece.
Thanks.

if you dont use a flex pipe you will start loosing/breaking exhaust parts, like your manifold bolts can sheer off, and parts will break and fall off. take a trip around the block with your hood off and you will see why there needs to bex a flex bit, the motor moves back and forth quite a bit during shifts and acceleration. it looks to me like your flex pipe is where the convertor should be, the flex needs to be closer to the downpipe to work correctly. the muffler shop will want to replace it completely. you can diy with muffler clamps 2,1/2"id, straight pipe prolly about 4ft,flex pipe, a sawzall and a **** load of patience. everything but the sawzall can be bought from jegs, summit,or even ebay. just be sure you bolt everything down as tight as possible.
