Default 1997 900s auto throwing CEL

Okie dokie… 1997 900s, auto. Engine would not turn over three months ago. Replaced CPS, everything work a-ok fine. Week ago got CHECK ENGINE and CHECK GEARBOX. Fault codes are 1624 and 0753. I have been searching for info on these codes and people’s experience. 1624 just tells the CEL to turn on. 0753 has many results. Will continue to search the internets but, thoughts anyone?

Further, can start the car and it will run fine, shift fine. There is no consistency to how it acts. Usually can drive for a bit then the CELs flash on. The car may or may not drop into limp mode. Sometimes can drive it and it never drops into limp mode. Other times it will go to limp mode. Usually on a cold start it will shift fine but very occasionally it will start out in limp more. Usually from cold start and warm up, it will go for a bit before CELs and codes pop on. Sometimes it will drive for an hour with zero CELs and no limp mode.

Auto transmission fluid is clean and correct level. I will start checking, disconnecting, cleaning and reconnecting everything. I have seen slight mention of O2 sensor in a 0753 fault code, but usually this code is mentioned for other things.

Ideas?

This 1997 900s which when it is running without issue, runs great.
