Well, just as the headline says, my brake likes are staying on. Today when I started my car the SID said that i had brakelight failure (although this was before i had even pressed the brake pedal, which is what it usually does if the brakelight is out). after having someone else press the pedal, I realized that my brakelights were staying on (including the little strip on my trunk) as though they were parking lights. Also, my cruise wont work (i'm assuming its because the car thinks the brakes are on, thus dissengaging the brakes). Any ideas out there?

 

have you check the connections?

 

brake switch..has to be.
