oil drain plug stripped
94 900SE Turbo
I've own the car since September. I was going to change the oil for the first time (and a few hundred miles overdue) when I find the plug is stuck. The Oil Drain Plug is now stripped beyond all recognition. I took it to a muffler place in order to get a new flex pipe made for the exhaust behind the cat. converter and they too tried and failed to get it off.
I called a dealer to see if they have an oil pan and gasket in stock. They didn't and it would be $327 if they did. He recommended taking off the pan and trying to get the plug out then.
Does anyone else have any ideas/comments/suggestions?

RE: oil drain plug stripped
so the pan itself is stripped? they make something that screws into the hole, and sort of taps itself in. in that piece, is a smaller drain plug..this is sort of a ghetto fix, but i have seen LOTS of it, and it works..it just takes longer to drain the oil.
