[*]The Convertible is a known weak spot. The folding top mechanism is complex and the tonneau motor gears can get misaligned and break. The tonneau motor is extremely expensive to replace if it fails. In the US Saab Dealers have available a tonneau "stiffening kit" which is relatively inexpensive to install.

Anyone know where to obtain this said stiffening kit or have a testimony about it?

 

never heard of it, but than again I don't have a convertible...
