I have a 57 plate 93 convertible TDi and its had a vibration which has been in a number of times , and just recently the whole car wobbles and gear lever, very little power and then it clears and runs again , usually happens at 50 -70 mph (had all wheels rebalanced and aligned)
Anyway
just returned from the garage and they have checked the system and diagnosed that all the valves need to be replaced, with a new design, which they are doing next week, because they clog up on modern diesels engines if doing short journeys - i have 41K on the clock now i did 28K 1st year (when it started) and 7k each year for the next two years , and that I'm doing low mileage and for a diesel need to be 40K - the old diesel engines would cope with short runs, but the new diesels don't, I usually do a run of 50-100miles each week,

any views as my warranty runs out end of month.
