Actually there are good ones. I needed something done with Tech2 once and one of the local dealerships quoted me $80 for it, while the other one just did it for free since it took no more than 30 seconds. Needless to say I bought transmission parts from that dealer later on even though they were a bit more expensive than from the other source...

22003 Saab 9-3 T Arc
I bought 03 9-3 Arc. Automatic transmission. If I had it to do over, I'd get the manual. As it was, I got the extended warranty. It was worth every penny. Since buying the car in sept 2007, I have put in new torque converter (not sure that was necessary, but..."expert" said that was the problem), two speed sensors (all that was under teh warranty), and now the transmission cooling system ruptured and leaked fluid into the transmission case which cooked the innards, costing me $3500.
I do love to drive the car. the Arc sound system is pretty good (not as good as my wife's Acrura TL with Bose, but good), the peformance is great, ride is comfortable. I'd buy another SAAB, but only a manual.
