Default missing vaccum hose

hello i have a problem with my '99 saab 9-3 i dont know much about cars but i will try to explain it as best i can in hopes that someone can tell me what it is, there is a vacuum hose that is supposed to be connected to the intake right where the intake pipe connects to the engine, it is i believe the onlyvacuume hose that comes out thepassenger side of the intake. well that hose is gone.

i started my car this morning and it was running really rough. i looked in the engine and could hear the hiss of air, wich lead me to the very small part of hose was hanging however i could not for the life of me find the rest of the hose. what i need to know is what does it go to. it is, like i said, on the passenger side of the intake, it points some what twords the rear of the car. if anyone could help me identify this, that would be great.

thank you.

can you take a picture? Did your car throw a check engine light? I suspect it's the MAP sensor hose, the sensor is attached to the strut tower bar on the passenger side...

well I'd lie if I said what the thing is..looks like part of the emissions system...connects to some sort of a valve located on the passanger side wheel well. I'll look into in the WIS, but I hadn't had much luck finnding specific things in there...

is it inside the wheel well, or in the engine compartment( like under the air box)?

It's supposed to connect to the EVAP valve and there should be another hose from the valve going to the charcoal canister.
