Default Please help me identify this part!!!

2005 Saab 9-3 Linear manual tranny. About 105,000 miles.

Here are a few pictures of the part I need identified.
It was leaking clean red fluid from the bolt that I id'ed in one of the pics. I tightened the bolt yesterday and it did not leak overnight. (Although maybe it needs to be warmed again, or there is no more fluid!)

Please - what is this part, and how can I check the fluid level, and what fluid does it use?

Oops, looks like I can't attach photos yet.
The description is: It is on the right (passenger) side, just above and slightly forward of the right front axle. It is roughly circular, has a flattened right side with a GM cover with gasket, has about a 2" metal pipe coming out of its left side, and has a crank pulley with belt attached to its forward right part.

Red fluid points towards power steering.
