99 9 5 stalls then starts after a wait
I have a 99 9 5 4 cyl sedan with 140k miles. It has started to stall/not start at random times. It will often start when left alone for a bit. Had all filters changed, tune up, new gas, oil changed, etc - no help. By the time I get the car to the mechanic it starts and he cant find anything to work on. Possibly related info: Individual led cells on my radio screen go out then come back on for a psychedelic display, the ignition module has been replaced a few times (when that seems to go the car dies with no restart), i seem to go through headlights frequently. All info points to elec. trouble. Any ideas out there? There are way too many stripers left to catch to worry about my car!
I had the same problem. The car would run fine, then not start after I turned it off.
The problem was a bad crank or drive shaft sensor. Have your mechanic look at it. The problem is that the problem is nearly impossible to diagnose unless the car has the problem while the mechanic sees it.
By the way, the problem gets worse over time.

That's right, that's what causing your problem.
It occurs when engine is warm only.
It shouldn't cost that much, don't know what prices they charge in the US but here (sweden) it's about 260$.
