Both washers for ste headlights and rear window washers have stopped working again.I've had this repaired twice in a year.I can hear the pump for the rear window.Is there a way to fix this myself?

The check valves are the problem. I fixed my by simply replacing the stupid things with vaccum 'T' and 'L'fittings and all has worked fine ever since.

How do I get to these valves and where would I get the fittings?

 

You'll find them in the rubber lines going to the washers. Take a look at the ones in your hood where the windshield nozzles are and look for similar plastic pieces. The fitting you can get at any local auto store. Don't expect this to be easy as some of these stupid check valves are in tight spaces...
