1999-9-3 noise, smoking & stalling!
Hi,
I have 1999 9-3 and last week started hearing a noise that sounds like a clanking/winding sound. It happens even when the car is not moving. The other night I was driving it and it started smoking! I looked to see where the smoke was coming from and when standing in front of the car and looking down at the engine….it was the top left ( if that helps any!).
Today I had it towed to the dealership and they will be working on it but I was hoping if anyone had any insight or experience with this they could let me know? ( I have not spoken with them yet – so I have no idea what the problem is)
It has also been stalling just when I first start it up in the morning. When I called the dealership and let them know this was happening they explained that it was a common problem with Saabs due the ethanol levels in the gas now.
Also, a while back I had to have my entire transmission replaced……so I am wondering if this could be related to that?
Any help at all would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!!
