93 2.0 1998 liter petrol starting problem
Hello
I hope someone here with experience with this car has a suggestion.
The car was unused for 2 months, after which it was difficult to start (cranking several times). My mechanic put in an injection cleaner and seemed to improve it a bit, but then, after about 100 miles, all of a sudden it wouldn't start at all. It took many cranks and then started. it now takes a couple more times than usual to start, but it starts. Though, I'm afraid the same thing will happen again and drain the battery.
Any suggestions. I have seen here it could be the crank position sensor, but not sure these are the symptoms.
Thanks very much for any advice, it's a shame to ditch such a good car with 120.000 miles because of this (it only cost 1000 pounds. 1300 euro).

any check engine light? possible that it is the fuel pressure regulator, try cycling the key 2-3 times with out actually starting it then give her a whirl. fuel pump still going strong??? fuel filter, air filter, good battery good starter? compression checked? is it in spec? sat for 2 months could be ****ty gas, draining old gas and filling with new premium fuel
