Default TIME FOR SERVICE (Newly acquired 2001 93)

I just got my 2001 93 Turbo today. I LOVE the car, but it is saying TIME FOR SERVICE. I have to get this car inspected in MA within 7 days of registration. Will I fail inspection for this? Is it pretty much a check engine light? Thanks.

No, you will not fail for that, it just indicates you are due for vehicle service (oil change, brake fluid exchange, spark plugs, or whatever depending on mileage)

Alright thanks a lot man for helping me out. I got it cleared anyway. I will do my oil and check fluids every 2,500 miles.

It has nothing to do with the regular Engine Check Light indication whatsoever. It's just a preset alarm in your vehicle (not sure if it considered miles too?). To clear it up, press and hold the CLEAR button on your dash. That should take care of it.
