Default Intermittent No Start

2000 9-5, 95k miles, automatic. Every once in awhile, may be once a week, car will not start: you turn key to start, all the lights come on but no cranking, nothing! Wait a few minutes, like 20 or so, and it starts fine. I try moving the shifter through the gears, etc, but nothing helps until it just decides it is time to start...
ANY IDEAS, greatly appreciated!

Does it not start when the engine is warm by any chance?

Yes, and after a short trip...
I suspect that the cause is the Neutral Safety Switch and should be replacing that soon... and see what happens.
